Overview
Gradillo ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered grading platform for educators. We take the privacy of teachers and students seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
- Account information: Name and email address when you sign up or log in with Google.
- Class & assignment data: Classes, assignments, rubrics, and student submissions you upload for grading.
- Grading results: AI-generated grades, feedback, and any edits you make.
- Usage data: Basic analytics such as pages visited and feature usage to improve the product.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the grading service.
- To authenticate your account and manage your subscription.
- To communicate important product updates or respond to support requests.
AI & student data
Student submissions are sent to AI providers solely for the purpose of generating grades and feedback. We do not use student data to train AI models. Submissions are processed in transit and are not retained by AI providers beyond what is needed to fulfill the grading request.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted by Supabase. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, row-level security policies, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — authentication and data storage.
- Google Gemini — AI-powered grading.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in.
Data deletion
You can delete your classes, assignments, and submissions at any time from within the app. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the email below.
